Faith has to work twenty-four hours a day, in and through us, or we perish.

This man has changed my the way I think forever. Over the summer I took a trip with my youth group to Brooklyn, New York. We stayed right in the middle of the ghetto and walked the streets. God opened my heart during the week up there. These people in Bill Wilson’s ministry had built up their outreach in Brooklyn to the point where everyone knew what it was about. They had loved these kids and these families until they felt loved and loved them back.
It is AMAZING watching what God does in little kids. Many of the kids I saw and got to talk to had nothing and the thought that the people of Metro Ministries were going to give them free prizes blew their minds. As they walked by and I told them what was going on, many times, the parents would look at me like I was crazy and walk by me really fast. Some would stop and ask what I meant by free and THEN they would run off.. And there were also the people that accepted it and knew the ministry pretty well.
This really has me thinking this morning. What can I do today for someone and get that happy expression that those little kids had on their faces? I want to show people I care. My goal today, is to make at least 3 people (who aren’t close to me and are not smiling) to smile. :)
Today I will show the love that God has for them!
